Mattress covers use a wide variety of fabrics and materials to meet this definition. According to the best medical practices, it means a fabric or substance that won’t cause or trigger allergies. There is no state or federal regulation defining what hypoallergenic is or means. The ones that do will note that in the description. Due to the plastic used in their construction, mattress covers don’t always stretch. Stretchable fabrics will ensure a tighter fit that won’t move or rumple beneath you when you’re sleeping. Putting a mattress cover on one of those is a two- or three-person job. Queen, king, and California king mattresses are quite heavy. This is why mattress covers are sometimes called mattress encasements. Installing a mattress cover means putting the entire mattress inside the mattress cover and zipping it closed. For bed bugs, you need six-sided protection. Any other mattress cover is only for spills or dust mites. The only mattress protection that keeps out bed bugs is a true mattress encasement that completely encloses the entire mattress - top, bottom, and the four sides. They look identical at each stage except for their size and coloration. Bed bugs go through five molts, called instars, before reaching adulthood. If the world is to meet Paris Agreement goals of limiting global warming to 1.5C by 2100, sights like this may be necessary by mid-century.īut step back for a moment to 2021, to Squamish, British Columbia where, against a bucolic skyline of snowy mountains, the finishing touches are being put to a barn-sized device covered in blue tarpaulin. Now the legacy of those fossil fuels – the CO2 in our air – is being pumped back into the emptied reservoirs. This Texan landscape was made famous for the billions of barrels of oil pulled out of its depths during the 20th Century. Together, they're trying to cool the planet by sucking carbon dioxide out of the air. You're looking at a direct air capture (DAC) plant, one of tens of thousands like it across the globe. You think to yourself that it looks like a gigantic air conditioning unit, blown up to incredible proportions. Behind the wall, you glimpse the snaking pipes and gantries of a chemical plant.Īs you get closer you see the wall is moving, shimmering – it is entirely made up of huge fans whirring in steel boxes. In the distance, they lap at a colossal grey wall five storeys high and almost a kilometre long. The land here is mirrored: the choppy silver-blue waves of an immense solar array stretch out in all directions. Walk out of the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum in Midland, Texas, and drive north across the sun-baked scrub where a few remaining oil pumpjacks nod lazily in the heat, and then you'll see it: a glittering palace rising out of the pancake-flat ground. The Model 62A (which will be marked on the barrel) was born on September 8th, 1938. The serial number range for the rifles with the style "A" breech bolt and improved locking system is 24,000 – 98,000. Also, the breech bolt now had just one pin versus three (the pins or pin are viewed from the top and are mounted vertically). On May 12, 1935, Winchester improved the locking system such that the bolt opened with the initial movement of the slide handle. The breech bolt had three pins, which allowed the slide handle to be moved approximately 1/4 inch to the rear before the bolt began to open. The original Model 62 was identical to the original Model 18. OK, the "A" after serial number on the receiver tells us that your rifle has the improved bolt locking system. Yes, I do, and the collector you refer to has his facts wrong (which makes him suspect in my mind).įirst, the serial number on your Model 62 tells me that it was manufactured in August of 1936. I simply put the word "specific" in quotations to emphasize it. In regards to your other comment, you are correct, it was I that introduced the term "specific", and I did not in anyway ever say that you did. It is irrelevant what the physical change was that took place, as the "A" was simply used to indicate that a change was effected. In both cases, the use of the "A" indicated that a design or production change had occurred. Then, an additional change was made at a later time, and Winchester changed the Model designation to "62A". and they denoted that change by first adding an "A" on the end of the serial number found on the receiver. They do indeed have the same meaning… and that was very simply that a design/production change was made by Winchester to the Model 62. They have a different meaning in each instance. I was saying, and still am saying the those 2 uses of the letter "A" do not mean the same thing as Winchester used them. the 62/62A, 67/67A, 69/69A, etc.), and again, the "A" was used to identify a design/production change to the model in question.īert, Sorry but the A in a 62A and the A in serial number 80,000A do not have the same meaning.Īlso, "Specific" is a term you introduced, not me, I didn’t say that. In the later production years, Winchester sometimes (but not always) changed the Model designation (e.g. The Model 1890 added an "A" below the serial number, and the Model 1906 added a "B" below the serial number (to denote what parts were to be used to assemble them), and the list goes on. The Model 1893 used both an "A" and a "B" (above the serial number), and the Model 1897 used a "C", "D", and finally an "E". The Model 1885 added an "A" on the end of the lower tang (to denote a coil spring action versus a flat-spring action). The first Winchester Model to use a letter designation was the Model 1873, which initially did not have a letter suffix, then the "A" was added, and eventually a "B" was used. In fact, and in both instances, the "A" indicates that some type of a design (mechanical) change was made to the original design, and that the assembly process and/or the parts needed to assemble the firearm were changed accordingly. The A suffix behind the serial number has a completely different meaning than the A suffix behind the Model number.įirst, the "A" suffix on the end of the serial number does not have a "specific" meaning, nor does the "A" suffix on the end of the Model designation.
What I’m trying to say is, social media brands – like all brands – take their logos seriously. We tap minimalist social media icons from our app screen. We don’t scroll through a list of app names on our phones. Just think about how we use social media. Today, you can’t even hear the word “Twitter” without that iconic blue bird immediately coming to mind – and that’s the whole point. Their logo defines who and what they are.ĭo you remember what Twitter looked like back in 2006? Or should I say Twttr.Īside from the edgy graffiti font and “whats in yr head,” the logo alone makes a statement about who and what the app is for: It’s trendy, casual, and quick.Ĭlearly, Twitter has gone through some rebranding over the years. Their entire livelihood is built around the app’s features and the branding associated with it.īranding – specifically that of logos and colours – is absolutely essential for each social media company. Social media websites don’t sell physical products or services. Yes, How You Use Social Media Icons Mattersīear in mind, none of the following qualifies as legal advice. We also included a handful of safe and attention-grabbing icon sets you can download and use right away. You just need to understand each platform’s unique guidelines. Most importantly, they invest a ton of money into enforcing trademark violations against and misuse of their logo.Ĭreating your own icons isn’t completely off-limits. Social media platforms take their branding seriously. You need icons to promote your social channels at touchpoints like your website, blog, email campaigns, and even IRL places like business cards.īut if you’re thinking of throwing a chic spin into Twitter’s logo so it matches your brand’s aesthetic, you might want to rethink that idea. Social media icons are a vital part of your marketing strategy. Some centers have also been found to spread medical misinformation to people seeking abortions. 9, along with information about so-called crisis pregnancy centers, which dissuade women from having abortions and typically provide free pregnancy tests and other services. Typically, Flippin said, anti-abortion rights activists across the country bake and distribute free cupcakes on Oct. Rebekah Flippin, the spokesperson for Cupcakes For Life, said the group's goal is to use the annual “National Pro-Life Cupcake Day” to "create a more positive message" about the anti-abortion rights movement. something that’s a national political question like that,” he added. “We’d never tie a flavor flippantly in with. In this instance, he said, the person putting together this month’s flavor list saw “National Pro-Life Cupcake Day” and “the pro-life part went apparently right over their head,” Feist said. 28, when Kopp’s will promote its Swiss chocolate flavor, and Halloween, when its jack-o-lantern flavor will be one of the flavors of the day. The company has removed the mention of "National Pro-Life Cupcake Day" and the "Hey Cupcake" flavor from its website, where a monthly "flavor preview" highlights two new "flavors of the day," in addition to vanilla and chocolate.įeist told NBC News that the restaurant chain has long promoted custard flavors linked to celebrated days, such as National Chocolate Day on Oct. any flavors we may link to a national holiday.” In the statement, Kopp’s pledged to “be more diligent in reviewing. I’ve been eating at Kopp’s since I was a little kid and the fact that their menu hasn’t changed much at all between then and now (aside from the two featured custard flavors that change each day) just proves that they’re definitely doing things right.Kopp’s issued the apology after angry customers called it to complain, according to Jeff Feist, the general manager of Kopp's Greenfield, Wisconsin, location. I was there on my lunch break so I also ordered a cheeseburger and some onion rings to go with my custard and those were great as usual. Out of all the custard flavors I’ve eaten at Kopp’s over the years this was easily one of my favorites. At first it just looked like they mixed chunks of pancakes with regular vanilla custard, but it turns out that they actually made a maple syrup flavored custard, so you could taste the syrup in every single bite. I wasn’t sure quite what to expect when I saw it listed on their menu as one of the flavors of the day, but I’m glad I ordered a scoop. I’m not going to get into a debate about who has the best frozen custard in Milwaukee because if you ask three different people you’ll probably receive three different answers, but each of those three people will also probably agree that Kopp’s is one of the best, and that’s where I got this maple syrup and pancake frozen custard. I always though it was crazy when New Yorkers would talk about how New York style pizza just isn’t as good when you order it anywhere else, but that’s exactly the same way I feel about custard. I feel sorry for people who haven’t had the chance to experience real Midwestern frozen custard. Last thing I can think of is a driveshaft hoop to help tie the two sides of the rear most cabin/floor crossmember togetherįactory style tower braces are an easy beef up and install, OEM did the design work here alreadyĬhuck in a monte carlo style brace a la the mustang designsīeef up the cowl with 2x2 square tube and other than welding up the spring towers (old Carrol Shelby trick with mustangs) I'm pretty much out of ideas inside the bay Some "gusseting" at the rocker ends should help and maybe double up the rear frame rails where there is space Some subframe connectors seem like a logical first step, as well as tying together what looks like bracing that just stops in the middle of nowhere The rockers have some rot, so they will get 2x4 square tube inside them and stitched back up (the red represents the leaf spring space) I don't plan to lower it any further, but I still don't have a lot of room to work with under the car. The floor is already at the bottom of the unibody rails and the car sits pretty low as delivered. I would appreciate input or opinions on if it makes sense or better ideas on how to go about it. I've done a little photochop stuff to help illustrate my thoughts. but suspension is another topic for another thread. Stock suspension will at least allow me to enjoy it this summer while I work on the final plan. The rest I'm still racking my brain over. The rear I'm pretty sure I've at least decided on coil overs and a watts link (which probably puts me in 3 link territory). Maybe see if the "shelby drop" works on this car. I'm back and forth on the front but coil overs will probably be the route and play with suspension geometry a bit. I'm still sussing out the suspension details, so I'm staying stock right down to the leaf springs until I've got a cohesive plan figured for front and rear. Not to mention I wouldn't want my daughter's head to bounce off a rear rear hoop in an accident. Besides, the fam has no interest in squeezing around bars and hoops to get it. I trying to avoid intruding on the passenger compartment since it's going to be a driver as well as weekend toy. The following pics aren't my car, mine is a hard top (which is a plus in the torsional sense). I don't see a lot of sense working on suspension if the chassis is moving like noodles that have been cooked al dente. My main focus is torsional, as every picture I've seen of these cars pushed "hard" has horrendous suspension induced body roll but more importantly fro this thread, you can actually see twist in the chassis. I'm trying to plan out how to brace my 62 TBird. Wasn't sure where to post this, so I hope this sub forum is correct.
